Many young professionals commute to jobs in New York daily via Mountainsides four bus routes, all of which benefit from a BBS (Bus Bypass Shoulder) that cuts through traffic and has been in use for many years. Routes 114 and 117 provide service to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan while routes 65 and 66 travel to Downtown Newark making all local stops. You are also a very short drive to the Summit and Westfield train stations as well as a Lakeland bus park-and-ride on Broad St in Summit near the Springfield border. For longer journeys, Newark International Airport is just 11 miles (18 k) East of Mountainside.
